Jacob's First Race

Jacob ran in his first race the weekend before Thanksgiving. The race was down in Hot Springs. I have family down there so we visited with them while we were there. Jacob did really well in his race. He raced in the 5 and 6 year old group and came in 2nd. (The winner was obviously 6.) They ran .6 miles. He ran it in a sprint and was totally worn out at the end.

At the starting line.

In full sprint. I had him out running with me a lot to get ready for this race and told him not to do this or he wouldn't make it to the finish line but when all the kids took off like this I thought I hope he makes it to the end.

They ran down the path to where you could see them so I thought we have about 5 min until we'll be able to see him again. Then I saw these 2 little kids coming back and one was Jacob. I could not believe it. His time at the finish line was 5 min 30 sec. WOW!!!!

Proud Papa and a tired little boy.

Parker (my sister's little boy. He ran in the 3 and 4 's.) and Jacob showing off their medals.

We are so proud of him.

Miles for Milestones race

I went down to Conway this weekend to run a 5k for Matt's (my brother) kids school. They had a 5k and a 1 mile walk. Matt, Katie, Tim and I ran the 5k. My parents came to do the walk.
Katie, Tim and I just before the race started.

Matt coming in FIRST Place and yes he is pushing a heavy 4 year old in a jogging stroller. What a man!!

That's me bringing it home.

I won first place in my age division. First time ever to win first place at anything. Jacob was so proud of me. He always wants me to win first place. I usually just laugh and say "oh sweetie, mama is not going to win. I'm not very fast."

We all placed. Matt one 1st overall, Katie won 2nd overall women and Tim got 3rd in his age division. Go Team Wooldridge!!!

Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year. The kids had a lot of fun. Jacob was Superman and Courtney was Minnie Mouse. We went trick-or-treating and made the rounds to the grandparents. We didn't get home until 10 that night. Needless to say we were all very tired when we got home but had great time. Jacob's class got to wear their Halloween costumes to school Friday. They got to have a parade around they gym and parents took pictures.

Jacob and Harrison posing for a picture. Look at those muscles!

My little Minnie Mouse!

Mickey (the dog) and Minnie.
She loves this dog. She doesn't like him to be in his cage so she tries to get him out.

Success!!!

Look at all that candy.

It's a bird! No, it's a plane! No, it's Superman!!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch Saturday. Every year we go pick out our pumkin as a family. We had to look for the "perfect pumpkin" as Jacob would say. Courtney had a great time walking around and patting the pumpkins. We had a grat time and I also got some really cute pictures.

Earlier that morning Katie, Tim and I ran the Chile Pepper. It was my first 10k.

Go Fire!!!
Jacob and Harrison's personal cheering section.

Saturday was Jacob's first soccer game of the season. Harrison (his cousin) and him are on the same team this year. Aaron is their coach and is really enjoying coaching them. They had a great first game. Between the two boys the scored 8 or 9 goals. They make quite a mean team.
