Hot Springs

Playing with Daddy

Papaw and Jacob are being ghost

We went to Hot Springs for a few days. We went with Aaron's parents and his grandmother. His grandmother owns a condo down there so they were there for the week. We had a lot of fun. We went swimming a lot. Jacob loved it. This was his first time this year to swim. He really did a good job. By the end he was swimming without his floaties or ring. This was Courtney's first time to swim. She wasn't sure about it a first but by the second day she really liked it.
There were paddle boats and row boats you could use. We took a row boat out one day and the next day we did the paddle boat. Jacob steared the paddle boat while Aaron's dad and I paddled. It got a little tough at the end but we made it back.
We did go-carts one night. Jacob wanted to race me so him and Papaw were in one and I was in the other. They started out ahead but I passed them. I wanted to let them win but something inside of me just couldn't. I think Jacob and I are going to have to have a rematch sometime

Race # 2

A little too early for Miss Courtney

Katie and I ran in the Cancer Challenge the 21st. I really had a good time running this race. I didn't even try to keep up with Katie. I told her just to go on. (I'm not really built for this like she is) She did really good. Her time was 27:45. Mine was 30:59. I was happy with that.
Jacob, Courtney, Mom and Dad came. I think Jacob had fun watching all the runners. He wanted to run after I finished (that was a little tough).
If you want to see other pictures they are on Katie's blog which is linked to mine "the Brown's"

Jacob's 5th Birthday

Making a wish Jacob turned the big 5 on June 13. We had his birthday party at
Chuck E Cheeses. All the grandparents and almost all the cousin
came. I think everyone had a great time.

Panama City Beach

Memphis
playing on the beach

We went to Panama City Beach with Jared and Angie. It was so much fun.
We started the trip off in Memphis and some BBQ. Then it was off to the beach. The weather was perfect. We laid on the beach everyday. It was so relaxing. I'm ready to go back. We are taking the kids to the beach in a month. I can't wait!!
Angie has more pictures of the trip on her blog. It is linked to mine. She is the: other Ennis's

Graduation

Jacob had his Pre-School Graduation May 20th. It was a very sad day for me. They sang songs they had learned that year. I guess Jacob got a little too comfortable up there because by the end he was the loudest. I almost got embarrassed but I thought oh well. Then they walked up and got their diploma. The whole thing was really cute.

Locomotion

Jacob's class had Locomotion day. They got to ride go-carts, play mini golf and video games. Jacob had so much fun. Check out his face on the go-cart. That is the way he does his face when he drives. In his mind he is really racing. Well this what happened that day: They let 3 go-carts go at a time. There was one that was faster than the rest. So he spots that one a runs and jumps in it when it was his turn. Racing with him was a little boy that was a little shy and a very shy, sweet little girl. These are not the kids that should be out there with my son. Jacob is lapping them, pushing them into the rails and spinning them out. I guess you could say I was a little embarrassed.

Courtney in the Cabinet

Courtney loves to get in the snack cabinet. She pulls everything out until she finds something she wants to chew on.
